Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Idify (“we”) makes NFC tags and QR codes that open a contact page. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the control you have over it. It covers idify-lb.com, the pages tags open, and orders placed in our shop.
The short version
- Your tag page is public by design. Anyone who scans your tag sees what you put on it.
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.
- We count how often tags are scanned — never who scanned them — and only the tag's owner sees the count.
- Email info@idify-lb.com to see, correct or delete your information.
Information you give us
When you set up a tag: your name, the ways you choose to be reached (phone, WhatsApp, email, social profiles, website, location), an optional note, an optional photo, and your page's language. These appear on your tag's page and in the contact card visitors can save.
An optional private email: used only to confirm when your tag is activated or reset. It is never shown on your page.
When you order: your name, phone number, optional email, and delivery address or note — used to confirm your order (usually on WhatsApp), deliver it, and keep records.
Information collected automatically
- Scan counts. For each tag, how many times a day it was scanned and its contact card saved. Just numbers — no record of who, where, or on what device.
- Security records. To stop abuse, such as someone guessing activation PINs or flooding the order form, we keep short-lived records of attempts. IP addresses in them are stored only as one-way fingerprints, never in readable form.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
- Photos. A photo is resized and re-saved before upload. That removes the hidden information phones store in pictures, including where the photo was taken.
Cookies
Visitors to tag pages and the shop get no cookies from us. We set only two kinds, both needed for the service to work:
- Your own phone. The phone you set your tag up on keeps one cookie that lets it show you how many times your tag was scanned. Only that phone can see the count, and the cookie tracks nothing else, anywhere.
- Our staff. Cookies that keep our team signed in to the admin area.
How we use information
- To show your tag page and contact card exactly as you set them up.
- To confirm and deliver orders, and to help when you contact us.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To understand which products get used, from scan counts.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who sees it
- Anyone who scans your tag sees your page — that is what the product is for.
- Our service providers — web hosting and email — process data only to run those services for us.
- Apps you tap through to. Buttons open WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Maps and others; what happens there is covered by their own privacy policies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your tag page: until the tag is reset or deleted. Then your name, contact details and photo are erased.
- Orders: as long as needed for delivery, support, and accounting and legal duties.
- Scan counts: kept as daily totals, which contain no personal information.
- Security records: only as long as they help prevent abuse.
Your choices
Ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, or to reset your tag, by emailing info@idify-lb.com. Because tags can change hands, we may ask you to show the tag is yours before changing or deleting its page.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Activation PINs are stored only in encrypted form, stop working the moment a tag is activated, and repeated wrong guesses lock the tag. Staff sign in with a password and an emailed code. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your information is built into how Idify works.
Children
Idify is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before putting your contact details on a public page.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. See also our Terms of Service.
